Falls Jewelers Celebrates 25 Years Serving the Cabarrus County Community
Falls Jewelers, an independent family-owned and operated jewelry store located in Afton Ridge shopping center in Concord, N.C., will celebrate 25 years of serving the Cabarrus County community this October.
Following in the footsteps of both his father, Don, and his grandfather, Herbert, Sam Falls knew at a young age becoming a third generation jeweler was the path for him.
“I remember working with my father in our basement when I was in the seventh grade,” said Sam Falls, owner of Falls Jewelers. “He showed me how to size rings and set stones. I was hooked and knew at that point I wanted to follow in his footsteps.”
In 1990, after eight years of extensive training, Falls followed his dream and opened his first store in historic Cannon Village in downtown Kannapolis. In 2011, Sam and his wife, Jane, moved the store to the Afton Ridge Shopping Center.
“Selling retail jewelry, creating custom pieces, and performing on-site repair work has allowed us to build a loyal customer base within our community,” said Sam Falls. “We respect our customers and are always honest with them concerning their jewelry.”
Now this native Cabarrus County family business is looking forward to the future with the addition of sons, Spencer, a 2015 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and Caleb, a junior at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill to the staff. Both sons are excited about carrying on the family tradition of providing the area with unique, high-quality jewelry, reasonable prices, and expert repair.
"I am very blessed for the opportunity to be able to work in the family business," said Spencer Falls. "Learning the jewelry trade from my Father and becoming a certified gemologist and jeweler really excites me. My goal is to take Falls Jewelers into its fourth successful generation serving Cabarrus County and the surrounding area.”
With nearly 90 years of combined jewelry experience, the staff of Falls Jewelers is ready to take on the next twenty-five years.
“This twenty-five year anniversary is a huge milestone, not only for our business but for our family as well,” said Jane Falls. “We hope to share this special time in our lives with those who have given us support over the years.”
In an effort to thank the community for their support, Falls Jewelers will hold a 25th Anniversary celebration on October 16, 2015 complete with food, drinks and entertainment including live music from David Domingo and the Fuzz Bucket Music Company.
